Enrollment Requirements
Registered Nurses (RNs)
To be eligible for enrollment, applicants must meet the following academic and professional qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited university.
- Valid License: Candidates must be registered and licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council in their home country (e.g., Ghana, Kenya, or the Philippines).
- Clinical Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of professional nursing experience in a recognized healthcare setting is preferred. This experience should demonstrate competence in patient care, leadership, and evidence-based practice.
New Graduates
- Nurses who have recently passed the National Nursing Licensure Examination (such as the Ghanaian Nursing Board Exam or the Philippine Nurse Licensure Exam) are also eligible to apply.
- Continuing Education: Participation in workshops, seminars, or short courses that strengthen clinical knowledge is highly encouraged.
Medical Doctors
Applicants for medical positions must satisfy the following:
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or equivalent): A recognized medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Registration Examination: Successful completion of the Medical and Dental Council (MDC) registration exam or its equivalent in their respective countries (e.g., Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, Philippine Professional Regulation Commission).
- Horsemanship/Internship: Completion of a one-year mandatory internship in an approved medical facility.
- Full Registration: Candidates must be fully registered with their country’s Medical and Dental Council or licensing authority to practice.
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Participation in regular professional education activities is expected to maintain licensure and competence.
Physical Therapists (Physiotherapists)
Qualified physical therapy applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy (BPT) or Physiotherapy: Must be obtained from an accredited university.
- Professional License: Must hold a valid license from their country’s regulatory board (e.g., Allied Health Professions Council of Ghana, Kenya Society of Physiotherapists, or the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission).
- Clinical Experience: A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of post-graduation experience in a recognized healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Special Skills: Candidates with experience in orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, or sports rehabilitation are highly encouraged to apply.
Occupational Therapists (OTs)
Applicants in occupational therapy must fulfill the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy: From an accredited university or health sciences institution.
- Professional Registration: Valid registration or certification from the national health professional council (in Ghana, Kenya, or the Philippines).
- Work Experience: At least one year of practical experience in rehabilitation, community health, or special needs care.
- Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge in adaptive equipment, sensory integration, and ergonomic assessment is considered an advantage.
